The jingle says “The heartbeat of America – that’s today’s Chevrolet.” I’m pretty sure this isn’t the truck they’re talking about in that jingle, but this truck is still going strong, working harder than most trucks that have been built in recent years.

This truck belongs to a coworker and he uses it to haul water. The truck is still going strong, and I have to admit it’s pretty cool to see.

I took several pictures of the truck the other day because it’s just cool to see. It’s not an old rust bucket, and it’s not a restored garage queen that never gets driven. It’s an old truck that works just as hard today as the day it rolled off the assembly line, and I like this shot because it has the old school Chevrolet logo, the classic lines in the grill, and it’s all wrapped in a rustic green paint that shows its age.

This picture was taken with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon 18-105mm lens with a circular polarizer. F stop was f/5.6, shutter speed was 1/400 sec and ISO was 200.
